Jane Jacobs was an urban activist and writer, who championed the voices of everyday people in neighbourhood planning and city-building. Jane’s Walk is an annual festival of free, citizen-led walking conversations inspired by Jane Jacobs. It encourages people to share stories about their neighbourhoods, discover unseen aspects of their communities, and use walking as a way to connect with their neighbours.
Event coordinator Negin Khorasani, with the assistance of Brock Libraries, is forming a planning committee for this year’s Jane’s Walk in Brock Township taking place May 7, 8 and 9. Anyone who is interested in learning more or assisting with the event planning is invited to attend the virtual planning meetings.
To request a Zoom invitation to these meetings please contact: Negin Khorasani (email@example.com) or Brian Harding (firstname.lastname@example.org)
